Lemon Sugar and More

A delightful way to sweeten your herbal teas.
- Zest from one lemon (preferably organic)
- 1 cup sugar
Combine and process in a food processor until the zest disappears into the sugar. Store in an airtight container for several weeks or in the freezer for up to one year.
Substitute the zest of one half of an orange for a different flavor treat.
Chop a vanilla bean into one inch pieces and mix with one cup sugar. Store for several weeks. Sift to separate bean from sugar, saving the bean pieces to flavor more sugar.
