Let’s Get Growing! Preview CTG Fall’s Season.
Boy, am I glad to shut the door on August! Despite the rain that cooled things down, I love being on the countdown to an energizing season.
AND, September means an energetic new season of CTG!
September 10
Travis County Master Gardener Patty Leander and Jay White team up to show how to beat the heat for fall vegetables and what and when to plant.
On tour at Crockett High School, students are growing their sustainable future, including raised beds and an aquaponics greenhouse they built. And, what fantastic kids!
September 17
Brent Heath from Brent and Becky’s Bulbs picks fragrant naturalizing performers for hot and humid climates, like Narcissus ‘Gigantic Star’.
On tour, when Monica and Greg Tran learned that a baby was on the way, they started their first family garden.
September 24
Keep the wildlife coming all year with plant time-sharing ideas from Andrea DeLong-Amaya of the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center.
And, heads up on the Fall Plant Sale October 14 (members only, but you can join that day!) and October 15. Note: no sale on Sunday this fall so head out early!
